It seems that Ubisoft is in real trouble after the launch of Star Wars Outlaws.

Star Wars Outlaws launched in the last few days of last month, and the game doesn't seem to be very popular at the moment. While some analysts have lowered their sales forecasts and raised their expectations of serious problems facing Ubisoft.

I stated Financial Times The launch doesn't look as successful as analysts had previously expected, given that the game is based on the popular Star Wars series. Expectations initially reached 8 million copies sold in the first quarter, but eventually dropped to 5 million copies expected to be sold by the end of the current quarter.

The Financial Times report indicated that the decline in revenue and sales of Star Wars Outlaws will lead to serious problems, most notably the decline in the publisher’s shares. It seems that it will reach its lowest level in 10 years, as Ubisoft was in dire need of a huge title like Star Wars to at least get things back to normal, which is a shame to hear at the present time in light of the success of Black Myth Wukong, which comes to us from a small Chinese developer in this huge gaming world.

If analysts' predictions are accurate enough, we should see more reliance on Assassin's Creed Shadows than ever before to close out the year with revenues in line with the company's expectations. Keep in mind that the game has also been the subject of much controversy due to the protagonist “Yasuke” and his historical reality, and this has already been reflected in the game's status, as only 800 physical copies have been reserved.

Ubisoft has released important projects such as Xdefiant, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, and Skull & Bones, but unfortunately none of these projects have achieved the expected success.

Do you expect Assassin's Creed Shadows to turn the tide for the publisher this year? Let us know your predictions in the comments section below.
